Secondary Sources

This section contains information about secondary sources relevant to 18th-century Russian periodicals and 18th-century Russian publishing more broadly, including monographs, journal articles and bibliographies. The sources are in both English and Russian. The standard resource for information regarding 18th-century Russian periodicals remains the five-volume Svodnyi katalog russkoi knigi XVIII veka ('Union catalog of the Russian book of the XVIII century') published in Moscow in 1966. Volume four contains detailed bibliographic data for each periodical, calendar and almanac published in Russia between 1725 and 1800.
