The Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan and Tajikistan Elections Web Archive includes campaign sites archived during these countries’ election seasons since 2014. This archive collection includes websites for government bodies, political parties, presidential candidates, election observers and political commentators which offer significant information related to presidential and general elections in Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan and Tajikistan. Pertinent social media channels are also included in this collection in order to provide a fuller representation of how candidates presented themselves via the internet to the general public.

This collection consists of official government websites for Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan and Tajikistan and provides an overview of the political, economic, administrative and social situation in these four countries. Several of these governmental websites contain information in English, Urdu, Persian (Farsi and Dari dialects), Pashto, Tajik and Russian languages. The depth of information is best for the Urdu, Persian, Pashto and Tajik languages, so pages in all four of these languages have been harvested. Through this archive collection, researchers can track the development and evolution of important political positions, related publications and changes in government agencies and the quasi-governmental organizations (universities, cultural institutions, museums, etc.) that together comprise the current governments of these four countries.

This collection of websites documents the Bangladeshi General Elections beginning with the 2018-2019 election cycle, up to the present. The websites in this collection cover the political parties taking part in the elections. Other sites include watch-dog groups and non-profits.

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is part of China’s “One Belt, One Road (OBOR)” initiative. OBOR’s vision encompasses a geographical region that extends from the Baltics in Europe to Southeast Asia and from China to Africa. The focus of CPEC is on a series of energy and infrastructure projects. Through CPEC, Pakistan is situated to become one of the most strategically important countries in the region. CPEC projects are expected to significantly improve trade and economic connectivity between Asia, the Middle East and Europe. This web archive collection provides news and analysis related to the various aspects of CPEC projects, including implications for trade, economics, politics, social and cultural development, infrastructure, communications, education and tourism between the two countries.

The Different Faces of Nationalism in Pakistan Web Archive collects websites and blogs of Pakistan-based organizations, individuals, and groups who engage with the political scene in Pakistan through the language of nationalism. This may be done from a religious, ethnic, and/or socio-economic political perspective. A number of these groups represent grassroots movements that employ social media to spread their message. This collection attempts to capture the sentiments of many of these groups and organizations to support scholarly research.

The Indian Elections Web Archive includes websites archived during the general elections in 2009 and 2019. As the world’s most populous democratic nation with the largest number of eligible voters, India has a political landscape with dozens of major linguistic groups and numerous political parties officially recognized at the national and state level. Sites harvested as part of this archive project include candidate, government, national and state political party websites. Most of the websites in this collection are in English, although some in Indian languages have also been archived.

This collection consists of official government websites of India and provides an overview of the country’s politics, economics, society, and administration at the federal and state levels. Included in this collection are the official websites of the prime minister, president, both houses of parliament, union ministries, state governments, some district governments, and some government-created commissions. Most of the information on these websites is in English, while some websites contain information in South Asian languages, including Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, and others. Through this web archive, researchers can track the development and online presentation of important political events and official government positions.

The Indian Political and Social Issues Web Archive is comprised of sites that follow the constantly changing scene of political and social issues in India, South Asia, and diasporic communities. Some sources are also from Pakistan considering the influence such issues have beyond Indian borders. Content includes individual journalists, news sources, online magazines, blogs, zines, governmental and non-governmental organizations, and international organizations. The collection includes the primary websites as well as some selected social media sites. The selection of websites represents a diversity of organizations from a vast array of political stances and viewpoints. A number of sites originally crawled in the limited Kashmir Legal Status 2019 Web Archive continue to be crawled in this collection. It is recommended that this collection be used in tandem with the physical collection of newspapers and periodicals available in multiple Indian languages and in English. In August 2019, the special legal status of Kashmir defined in Section 370 of the Indian Penal Code was rescinded. This web archive collection covers a range of local and regional responses. The Kashmir Legal Status 2019 Collection includes blogs, news sources from India, Pakistan, and Kashmir, social media sites, human rights organizations, and Kashmiri political parties, amongst others. The Political Islam Web Archive is a collection of websites from Islamic political parties and political Islamist organizations. In Afghanistan, Egypt, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Pakistan and Turkey, Islamic religious parties already, or increasingly, have a strong influence within the existing political structure. On the other hand, political Islamists, defined as fundamentalist Islamic religious organizations working outside the political and social mainstream, hold strong influence over local, national, or regional political outcomes. Such organizations work as religious foundations, informal nongovernmental organizations, charities, or advocacy organizations. A snapshot of political parties, as well as their informal counterparts operating as Islamist political movements, will provide researchers with a means to understand the evolution of Islamic political parties and the political Islamists' messaging when more Islamic parties gain national prominence.

The Sri Lankan Elections Web Archive includes websites archived during the presidential and general elections in 2010, 2015, and 2019/2020. Sites harvested as part of this archive project include candidate, government, national, state, and political party websites.
