The Library of Congress Web Archive selects, preserves, and provides access to archived web content selected by subject experts from across the Library, so that it will be available for researchers today and in the future.
South Asian web archives are generally thematic or event-based collections. Not all content undergoing web archiving is currently available through the Library’s website. New content is made available regularly after the Library's one-year embargo period for all content in web archives. Many of the archived websites in these collections are freely available online. However, full online access to some archived websites is only available onsite at the Library of Congress. Below are the web archives with a particular focus on South Asia:
