A collaboration of seven repositories in the Charleston, South Carolina area including College of Charleston, Medical University of South Carolina, The Citadel, Charleston County Public Library, Gibbes Museum, Historic Charleston Foundation, and Beaufort County Library. They seek to provide free online access to unique materials that document the history and culture of the region.
National Park Service (NPS): South Carolina
The fundamental purpose of the NPS is to conserve the scenery and the natural and historic objects and the wild life therein and to provide for the enjoyment of the same in such manner and by such means as will leave them unimpaired for the enjoyment of future generations. The NPS provides highlights, statistics, and a list of national parks for South Carolina.
