Introduction
This guide provides a useful reference to legislative journals for all fifty states. State legislative journals are the official record of proceedings for each states' chambers. The Library of Congress has holdings for historic state legislative journals bound in the general collections. Selected historic legislative journals are also available in a microform format. These selected journals can be requested at the Microform Reader Services desk. The internet resources contain website links to historical and current state journals.
