Digitized Sheet Music

The Library of Congress digitized the following published first editions and other significant sheet music by Stephen Foster as part of either The Library of Congress Celebrates the Songs of America, Music for the Nation: American Sheet Music, ca. 1820 to 1860, or Music for the Nation: American Sheet Music, ca. 1870 to 1885. Though not digitized, it is worth noting that the Library of Congress holds two holograph manuscripts by Stephen Foster. "The Voices that are Gone" and "Where has Lula Gone" are both cataloged under the call number ML96.F8.
