Brett Kavanaugh

On July 10, 2018, President Trump announced the nomination of Brett M. Kavanaugh. This is President Trump’s second nomination to the nation’s highest court. Kavanaugh was confirmed on October 6, 2018.

According to the Lexis Advance legal database, Judge Kavanaugh has written more than 270 opinions during his twelve years on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.  Decisions from cases in the D.C. Circuit in which Judge Kavanaugh participated can be found on the website of the Court (select “Opinion Locator” under “Online Services and use “Kavanaugh” as a search term).  Cases are also available on Google Scholar External External (On the Google Scholar homepage, select “Case law” then “Select courts.”  On the next page, select “Court of Appeals” under “D.C.
