Below are some links to United States government resources as well as national and international organizations and associations that will be helpful for understanding the industry and doing industry research. Historically, there have been a number of associations and groups that have operated to represent tobacco interests in the United States and around the world that may be important to consider when doing your research. This includes Burley Tobacco Growers Cooperative Association, Tobacco Growers Information Committee (TGIC), and International Tobacco Information Center to name just a few. Government information is generally publicly available. Associations often limit information to members, although many do make some information freely available.
