Victor Herbert: A Guide to Resources at the Library of Congress

Concert and Lecture Videos

The Library of Congress produced two events in conjunction with its 2012 exhibit, The Musical Worlds of Victor Herbert.

The first video, The Musical Worlds of Victor Herbert: Concert, offers a sampling of Herbert's operetta classics, including "Babes in Toyland," "Naughty Marietta," and moments from the "Ziegfield Follies." The concert was hosted by the Library's Loras John Schissel and features performances from William Hicks (music director/pianist), Rebecca Luker (vocalist), Ron Raines (vocalist), Aaron Lazar (vocalist), Korliss Uecker (vocalist) and Jerry Grossman (cellist).

The second video, The Musical Worlds of Victor Herbert: A Conversation with Alyce Mott, features the Library's Loras Schissel in conversation with Alyce Mott, Herbert specialist and founder of the Victor Herbert Renaissance Project.
